Young striker Jordan Perruzza enjoying rubbing shoulders with Toronto FC first team

Elevated to Toronto FC’s first team, young striker Jordan Perruzza is still a little star-struck. Especially when it comes to captain Michael Bradley.

The admiration is sparked by more than Bradley’s distinguished playing record.

Perruzza, a 20-year-old homegrown player from Woodbridge, Ont., grew up a huge fan of Roma legend Francesco Totti. Bradley played with Totti at Roma.

“So every morning, I walk down the stairs and I see Michael at breakfast and it’s just surreal,” Perruzza said from TFC’s training base in Orlando. “It’s crazy to see that.

“He comes over and talks to me and tells me I’ve had a good (training) session.
