TORONTO, Canada—Toronto FC’s youngest-ever signing Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty has received his first senior international call-up.
The 16-year-old Brampton, Ontario native will be replacing one of Liam Millar (loan) or fellow TFC teammate Liam Fraser (ankle) at Canada’s January camp, which is set to kick off tomorrow in Bradenton, Florida. For what it’s worth, Fraser’s ankle injury doesn’t appear to be too serious, with the midfielder exercising caution ahead of what he expects will be a big 2021 campaign.
Jacob Shaffelburg and Vancouver Whitecaps’ Theo Bair has also been named to the Canadian camp.
