It’s been a while since Toronto FC’s last appearance at BMO Field, but nobody has forgotten their rollercoaster of a 4-4 draw with D.C. United on June 13. Now, a week after they returned from the World Cup break by losing 2-1 away to New York City FC, the Reds are back home for a Canada Day clash with the New York Red Bulls.
Last time we saw the Red Bulls, it was when TFC dispensed with them in the Eastern Conference semi-finals last fall. That second leg at BMO was certainly a night to remember, with Jozy Altidore and Sacha Klejstan both seeing red cards for their halftime altercation in the tunnel.
