Toronto FC has traded fullback/midfielder Luca Petrasso to Orlando City SC in a deal that could net TFC up to US$400,000 in general allocation money.
Toronto will get a guaranteed $300,000 in 2023 general allocation money and an additional $50,000 in 2024 and $50,000 in 2025 if certain performance-based metrics are met. Toronto will also retain a sell-on percentage in the event of a subsequent transfer.
“Luca is a very technical player that can play anywhere on the left side of our formation, from left back to out on the wing,” Orlando GM Luiz Muzzi said in a statement.
