Toronto FC announced today that the football club will open the 2020 MLS campaign in February for the first time in franchise history, less than four months since their frustrating 3-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders.
The 2019 MLS Cup Finalists will kick off their 14th MLS campaign on the west coast where they’ll take on the San Jose Earthquakes on Sat. Feb. 29 at 5:30 p.m. EST.
In their only meeting a year ago, San Jose got the better of Toronto FC at BMO Field (2-1) on the back of a Chris Wondolowksi brace.
