Toronto FC signs centre-back Drew Moor

Toronto FC took a first step to strengthening its much maligned backline Tuesday by signing centre-back Drew Moor from the Colorado Rapids.

The veteran defender, 31, became a free agent at the end of the season after spending the past seven years with Colorado. His signing marks the first free agent acquisition in club history.

“This free agency period was a great opportunity to look at a wide range of options and choose a club and a city that was going to be the best fit for my family and me,” Moor said in a release.
