Toronto FC’s most controversial supporters group saw its status as an official Toronto FC support group terminated today. As a result, the Inebriatti will lose all supporter group privileges.
The sanctions come following an investigation conducted by the Ottawa Police into a July 18 incident at TD Place Stadium during the first leg of the Voyageurs Cup semi-finals. The Inebriatti have been deemed responsible for a flare which was thrown on the pitch, as well as lighting their own banner on fire.
The club also took into account past code of conduct violations from the Inebriatti.
