Toronto FC completes trade with Orlando City SC for more allocation money

TORONTO, Canada—Toronto FC announced today that the club has acquired $200,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM)—or in other words salary cap space—from Orlando City SC in exchange for an international roster spot.

In total, Toronto FC have acquired $425,000 in salary budget room in the past week. Yefferson Soteldo's salary budget charge is $612,500, so it could be to help offset bringing him in this window, but if I had to guess, I'd say there's another move coming, likely for a defender.

This is the second time in the past week that the Reds have acquired GAM for an international roster spot as last week they acquired $225,000 from FC Dallas.
