COLUMBUS—Michael Bradley’s heart goes out to the Columbus Crews’ most loyal fans as they face the possibility of losing their Major League Soccer franchise, but the Toronto FC captain says it’s hard to deny the lack of progress in Ohio.
“On one hand you feel for the small group of loyal supporters that they have who have been here since the beginning, who continue to support the team and come out week after week,” Bradley said when asked on Tuesday night about Crew chairman Anthony Precourt’s plans to move one of the league’s founding clubs to Austin, Texas in 2019, if a deal for a stadium in downtown Columbus can’t be struck.
