As Charlie noted on Thursday, Toronto FC’s record at Red Bull Arena is not good.
It’s ugly, in fact, but the good news is that this Reds team is demonstrating week in, week out that it has no regard for history or precedent. Last year, they proved beyond doubt - despite the final result - that they are a drastically different proposition to the TFC of years gone by and have continued to do so in 2017.
‘Years gone by’ makes those days sound like ancient history, but it was as recently as 2014 that this club, though better than it had been, still suffered from costly losing streaks, behind-the-scenes grumbling and abysmal discipline.
