It turns out Minnesota United may not be so bad after all.
They may be unlikely to make the playoffs in their first year in MLS, and they may even still finish last. The Loons have established over the past few weeks, though, that they will not be the laughing stock of the league in their inaugural season.
That seemed a very real possibility when they began the campaign with a 5-1 defeat to the Portland Timbers and 6-1 loss against Atlanta United, followed by a 5-2 reverse at the New England Revolution a couple of weeks later.
