TFC anxious to get back on attack in final leg of East final

There is a new mantra making its way through Toronto FC’s ranks as the Reds prepare to host the Columbus Crew in the second leg of the Eastern Conference final next Wednesday.

After a 0-0 draw in Ohio, a win will send Toronto to its second straight MLS Cup final. And while the Reds are expecting a nervy, cagey game where an away goal by the Crew could be detrimental to the home team’s hopes, they also know this is a situation they can work with.

“If you’d said at the beginning of the season, ‘Just skip everything in between, we’ll give you one game at home, if you win you’re in the Cup,’ yeah, we’d take that in a heartbeat, for sure,” defender Steven Beitashour said Friday.
