Streaking Toronto FC wraps up MLS playoff spot nice and early

Toronto FC clinched a playoff spot after tying league-leading Los Angeles FC 1-1 late Saturday night, coupled with a 2-1 loss by the Montreal Impact against the L.A. Galaxy.

The Reds’ eight-match unbeaten run (3-0-5) in MLS play is their longest since 2017, when they won the league championship.

“We feel like we have a good team, like things are coming together at the right time, and we’ve got to keep going,” captain Michael Bradley told reporters in L.A.

Jozy Altidore set up Tsubasa Endoh for TFC’s goal.

“The momentum is in our hand,” said Endoh.
