MANITOBA, Canada—Noble Okello may be disappointed with the length of his first start for Toronto FC, with the TFC youngster making way for Erickson Gallardo at halftime of their CONCACAF Champions League matchup with Club León, but he produced some bright moments in his 45 minutes that he can feel proud of.
Okello looked composed and confident on the ball, linking up well with Jacob Shaffelburg down the left-hand side and even adding a nutmeg to his highlight reel. His debut didn’t go unnoticed by excited TFC supporters and the 20 year-old has certainly picked up quite a few admirers across the broader MLS support.
