An ominous sign perhaps, but does not rule out Giovinco still making the roster for this summer's tournament.
The Italian national team will officially name its roster for Euro 2016 on May 23. But today, Italian coach Antonio Conte called 28 players into training camp. Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco was not on the training camp roster, and neither was New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
This does not, however, mean that Giovinco has not made the Italian roster for the tournament. Conte is set to name his 30-man preliminary roster for Euro 2016 in a weeks time.
