Fresh off of lifting silverware midweek in the Canadian Championship, Toronto FC have traveled all the way across the continent to take on the San Jose Earthquakes in California. Looking for a valuable away win against a Western Conference bottom-feeder, the Reds will be hoping they can get it done without the likes of Jozy Altidore and Chris Mavinga.
The Earthquakes sit last in the West on 16 points, the only team with less than 20. It’s a long trip out to the Bay Area, and this’ll be TFC’s third game in six days, but still, at this point in the season it’s a game the Reds probably need to win.
