Report: Toronto FC say no players and staff have tested positive for COVID-19

TORONTO, Canada—On Sunday evening, Major League Soccer (MLS) provided a COVID-19 testing update ahead of next month’s Disney World festivities.

“As of Sunday, 18 MLS players and six club staff received positive Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests prior to travel to Orlando for the MLS is Back Tournament,” the league wrote in a statement. “A total of 668 players have been tested since early June.”

Players who tested positive for the virus will be able to re-join their teammates within “the bubble” in Orlando when they receive medical clearance. In addition, players who test positive during the tournament, will be isolated until they receive medical clearance to return to action.
