There were some groggy heads, hoarse voices and baggy eyes as Toronto FC returned to its training ground Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Alex Bono could count the number of hours he had slept since the Reds’ MLS Cup win on Saturday on two hands. Defender Justin Morrow joked he only took off his ski goggles — protection from countless champagne showers — before his end-of-season interview because a staffer made him. Midfielder Jonathan Osorio kept his sunglasses on.
“I’ve seen a lot of things in the past few days,” he said of the team’s celebrations.
Striker Jozy Altidore wasn’t sure the party was over.
