Toronto FC, celebrating its second goal in the East final last week, knows the Western representative in the MLS Cup final (Seattle) but still has to secure its spot. Toronto, down a goal to Montreal, hosts the Impact Wednesday.

It seemed like the script was written for Toronto FC when the Seattle Sounders defeated the Colorado Rapids on Sunday to advance to Major League Soccer’s championship game. Beat the Montreal Impact and win the Eastern Conference final and the Reds, the highest-seeded team remaining in the playoffs, will guarantee its first MLS Cup final is played in front of a home crowd.
