HAMILTON, Ont.—Forge FC fans went home content on Saturday afternoon, as their home side won 1-0 in a crazy match in front of 10,486 people at Tim Hortons Field.
The two teams traded chances in the early part of the game, highlighted by a corner from Kyle Bekker that nearly found the back of the net in the 12th minute.
The first big chance of the match, however, came in the 35th minute. Bekker was first to a ball outside the penalty area, and fired a sweet shot that looked destined for the top corner, but it crashed back off the crossbar.
