Tuesday was not Toronto FC’s best chilly night at BMO Field. Leg 1 if the CONCACAF Champions League final began in the worst possible way, as Rodolfo Pizarro scored for Guadalajara in the 2nd minute. TFC leveled terms with a Jonathan Osorio goal just under 20 minutes after, but failed to capitalize on any of their other golden opportunities.
Alan Pulido provided the one moment of magic Chivas needed in the 72nd minute, sailing it over everyone for a pretty spectacular free kick goal. Thanks to him, his side will leave with two valuable away goals to bring back home for next week’s return leg.
