Toronto FC are back on the road this weekend, paying a visit to last-place D.C. United. The Reds are riding a high, still atop the Supporters’ Shield standings after beating New York City FC. D.C., on the other hand, were on the opposite end of a 4-0 game last week, routed by the mighty Minnesota United.
Now that TFC have most of their midweek fixtures behind them, Greg Vanney can start figuring out what his first-choice starting eleven is. Against a struggling side like United, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him experiment a little, even though it’s a road game.
