With a near full-strength lineup, Toronto FC sent a message to the rest of MLS yesterday with a 4-0 win over New York City FC. Toronto is now five points clear of anyone else at the top of the table.
Sebastian Giovinco turned in one of his best performances of the season, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist. Jozy Altidore also scored from a penalty kick and Raheem Edwards added his first MLS goal late in the second half.
