The Montreal Impact announced today that they’ve traded left winger Raheem Edwards to the Chicago Fire in exchange for $400,000 in Targeted Allocation Money. Edwards broke into the league last season with Toronto FC, making 25 total appearances for the Reds in 2017. He’s also got four caps with the Canadian men’s national team, and he’s considered an up-and-coming member of John Herdman’s squad.
Edwards has scored twice in 14 games this season, but he seems not to have clicked quite well enough with Montreal. The Impact acquired him in the winter after Los Angeles FC took him from TFC in the Expansion Draft.
