MetroStars fall to the Wave, extending their losing streak to five

On Saturday night the Mississauga MetroStars were in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to take on the Milwaukee Wave.

The Wave were 8-2 coming into this match, the second-best record in the league, so the MetroStars already knew they would be in for a tough match. The last time these two sides met, on January 5th, Milwaukee came away with an 8-2 victory at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.

Josh Lemos, the regular starting goalie for the Wave, was injured in that game, and returned to the team for his first game back on Saturday.

The MetroStars took the first lead of the game just over four minutes into the opening quarter, as Matthew Rios took a pass from Damion Graham, calmly placing the ball past the sprawling Wave keeper.
