Greg Vanney deserves a lot of credit for the current state of Toronto FC. That is stating the obvious. But it needs to be said, especially given some of the vehement detractors that have voiced their opinions loudly in the past.
The hashtag campaign that started in late 2014 really picked up speed during the first third of 2015. It trended again in August of that same year. History repeated itself in 2016. After only one win in six tries during the month of May, Vanney’s head was, once again, a highly sought after commodity.
