Toronto FC are in Bridgeview, Illinois tonight for the first of their home-and-home series with the Chicago Fire. The sides first play at Toyota Park tonight, then they’ll meet again at BMO Field next week.
It’s an interesting bit of ‘fixture quirk’, as we are also playing a home-and-home series (with aggregate) against the Ottawa Fury in the semi’s of the Voyageurs Cup.
Chicago sit eighth in MLS’s Eastern Conference, with 23 points — seven ahead of TFC. Similarly to the Reds, they’re in bad form: they’ve lost their last three games.
A few members of the Chicago squad will be familiar to TFC fans.
