Former Toronto FC forward Mo Babouli Signs With Mississauga MetroStars

The Mississauga MetroStars, the newest team in the Major Arena Soccer League (and the only Canadian one) have signed former Toronto FC forward Mo Babouli.

Babouli, 25, had been playing with Al-Ittihad in Aleppo, Syria, after Toronto FC waived him in April 2017, but he has decided to join the MetroStars for their inaugural season, alongside some other Toronto FC alumni.

TFC, MLS, and Canadian men’s national team legend Dwayne De Rosario is the marquee player for the MetroStars, and he has drawn some eyes toward the arrival of arena soccer in Canada.
