In a move that will come as no surprise to anyone that was watching yesterday’s Canadian Premier League Finals first leg, Forge FC have appealed Tristan Borges’ red card, sources tell Waking the Red.
The red card, which Borges received for kicking out at Cavalry defender Jay Wheeldon, was a harsh red card to say at the least, as it appeared that Borges didn’t really make much contact with Wheeldon.
The red card was for violent conduct, but if you look closely, Wheeldon certainly made the most of it, and to call that violent conduct would be a very harsh decision.
