Head coach Greg Vanney’s first full season with the club — he initially inherited the Reds with 10 games to play in the fall of 2014 — was Toronto’s most successful to date, but the knockout-round playoff defeat in October still fell short of expectations. A more complete lineup this year means more will be expected of the rookie coach, who struggled to settle on a successful on-field formation last year.
