Skylar Thomas, a 2015 first-round draft pick, features on a list of out-of-contract players published by Toronto FC II on Monday.
Thomas was taken 11th overall in Philadelphia two years ago. He was one of three first-round picks made by Toronto FC that year, with goalkeeper Alex Bono and defender Clement Simonin, who also looks set to leave the club this winter, the others.
A 23-year-old Canada youth international, Thomas could yet be offered a new deal. However, while general manager Tim Bezbatchenko has confirmed out-of-contract striker Ben Spencer has an extension on the table, there is no such update on Thomas’ situation.
