Drew Moor ends TFC drought in rare win over Galaxy

It took Toronto FC centre back Drew Moor to break a goal-scoring drought here Saturday, leading the Reds to their first home win over the Los Angeles Galaxy in more than eight years.

Moor scored the game’s lone goal in the 76th minute, assisted by centre back partner Eriq Zavaleta and Benoit Cheyrou, a defence-minded midfielder.

It was the team’s first goal in league play in more than 300 minutes.

“It was a perfect header from [Zavaleta],” Moor said after the game. “I thought he and I were on the same page all night, even in the attacking half there.
