Don’t expect much from Toronto FC during MLS’ summer transfer window

The summer portion of the MLS silly season opens today, which this year isn’t likely to mean much for Toronto FC. The Reds have spent the first half of 2017 proving that they already have the deepest roster in Major League Soccer.

Even if general manager Tim Bezbatchenko has cap space to work with - which considering Toronto’s payroll, is probably in limited supply - his shopping list is likely to be short. In almost every position, TFC has at least a pair of players who have proven they can step in and fill the role capably.
