Canadian Premier League unveils Forge FC in Hamilton

The Canadian Premier League held its sixth club unveiling event today, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. The new team, to be named Forge FC, was announced to the public and media with league and club executives on hand.

Bob Young, owner of the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats, addressed the crowd, as did league commissioner David Clanachan.

According to a press release from the CPL, Forge FC will play at Tim Hortons Field, but the capacity will be reduced from 23,000 to 14,000.

The event also gave us Forge FC’s initial branding, including the colours and two crests.
