Canadian Premier League player named in a CanMNT squad for the first time

John Herdman announced his squad for the upcoming Nations League games against Cuba on Wednesday morning. It’s the first camp since the disappointing loss to Haiti at the Gold Cup.

While there are plenty of players who were expected to be called up on the list, like Alphonso Davies and Milan Borjan, there are a few new additions to the squad.

The notable one: Marco Carducci from Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC. The 22-year-old goalkeeper has been arguably the best goalkeeper in the league this season, and is the first CPL player to be called up to the represent Canada.
