Canada will play Jamaica in the Gold Cup quarter-finals. The Caribbean side confirmed the tie by drawing 1-1 against El Salvador on Sunday before Mexico beat Curacao, leaving them second in Group C.
The match will be played at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Thursday, July 20. Kick-off is at 10pm ET.
Should Canada win, they will play the winner of the Mexico vs Honduras game in the semi-finals.
The draw is a favourable one for the Canadians. They have avoided the ‘big three’ of the Gold Cup in the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica, while the betting also makes Panama and Honduras more likely winners of the tournament than Jamaica.
