TORONTO, Canada— Finding minutes for their young players has never been a bigger challenge for Toronto FC than during the 2020 season.
Financial constraints, border closures, and several other factors out of the club’s control led to the decision to pull TFC II from the USL League One for the time being with intentions of returning in 2021.
With the main source of minutes for prospects out of the picture, the front office has had to be creative in order to find opportunities for the future generation to hone their skills.
