MLS has confirmed today that both Alejandro Bedoya and Haris Medunjanin will be out of the Philadelphia Union’s lineup tomorrow night for their match at Talen Energy Stadium against Toronto FC.
Bedoya and Medunjanin were sent off in quick succession last weekend during a game against Atlanta United. If you haven’t seen it yet, it was a wild couple of minutes at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Union’s Auston Trusty fouled Josef Martinez in the box, giving a penalty to Atlanta. As Martinez was preparing to take the spot kick, Bedoya — who was already on a yellow, in the 19th minute — encroached on the box, delaying the penalty, which prompted referee Sorin Stoica to confront him.
