White Sox pitcher John Danks in court battle over incident that left man paralyzed

White Sox pitcher John Danks is at the centre of a court battle stemming from a 2010 accident that left one man paralyzed.

In August of that year, Danks went barhopping with a childhood friend, Waylon Papst, and Waylon's brother, Blake, before the three returned to a condo Danks was renting in Chicago.

Later that night, the two brothers climbed to the roof of Danks' condo and allegedly got into a fight over a cell phone, resulting in Blake falling 10 feet off the roof.

He was paralyzed as a result.

Blake did not receive medical attention until much later in the day, when Waylon called an ambulance.
