Blue Jays catching prospect Gabriel Moreno has had himself quite a week.
Not only did he keep his top spot on the Blue Jays prospect rankings according to MLB Pipeline, but the young catcher was also told that he will be heading to Buffalo to finish the 2021 campaign at the triple-A level. He has played in one game so far, earning one hit with one strikeout through three at-bats.
These achievements are undoubtedly due to Moreno’s hot start with the bat, where he would slash .385, .450 and .662 along with 19 extra-base hits in 38 games in AA New Hampshire.
