As the Toronto Blue Jays celebrated a Game 5 winner-take-all victory on Wednesday at Rogers Centre, Texas Rangers players were attempting to stay diplomatic about where it all went wrong.
Front and centre was Jose Bautista's game-winning home run.
It wasn't as much the homer that seemed to anger the Rangers, but Bautista's exaggerated bat flip and slow trot around the bases following the game-winning three-run blast.
"It's hard to be politically correct, but you want to be able to play the game the right way," Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram after the game.
