TORONTO -- Infielder Yangervis Solarte was activated from the 10-day disabled list on Sunday morning as the Blue Jays' active roster expanded to 36 players.
Solarte got the start at second base in Sunday's series finale against Cleveland, which marked his first game since Aug. 11. The 31-year-old had been out for almost a month with a strained right oblique muscle.
The return of Solarte added yet another player to a crowded Blue Jays infield. Toronto will now finish the year by rotating Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
