Sanchez's near no-no, Grandy's HR lift Toronto

BALTIMORE -- Blue Jays right-hander Aaron Sanchez approached history on Tuesday night against the Orioles at Camden Yards, seeing his bid for what would have been the second no-hitter in franchise history end with Tim Beckham's sharp double through third baseman Josh Donaldson's legs to lead off the eighth inning. Toronto was able to secure the 2-1 win thanks to Curtis Granderson's first home run as a Blue Jay in the 9th.

Although there was speculation about whether Beckham's grounder would be ruled an error on Donaldson, the ruling of a hit was moot a moment later when the next batter, Anthony Santander, drove a no-doubt single through the right side of the infield for Baltimore's second hit.
