BOSTON - There is a cynical belief in sports that you can make statistics say anything you want. But it doesn't take a great deal of interpretation to figure out the Blue Jays are in exactly the same place they were in last season after 10 games.
Just as they were a year ago, the Jays stood at five wins, five losses.
Heading into this weekend's four-game series in Boston, the Jays had a .224 team batting average, a .301 on-base percentage, a .383 slugging percentage and an OPS of .684. They had hit 11 home runs and scored 42 runs overall.
