Putting too much pressure on Jays' Stroman isn’t fair

Don’t get them wrong. Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos and manager John Gibbons are thrilled that pitcher Marcus Stroman is almost set to return.

On the other hand, both are a bit wary of the hype surrounding the return of the 24-year-old right-hander, whose big-league resume basically consists of one season, though it was a good one (20 starts, 11-6 record with an ERA of 3.65).

Yet despite Stroman’s limited experience in the bigs, there seems to be a growing sentiment with the Jays faithful that Stroman’s return is the last piece of the puzzle to put the Jays over the top.
