Don’t get them wrong. Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos and manager John Gibbons are thrilled that pitcher Marcus Stroman is almost set to return.
On the other hand, both are a bit wary of the hype surrounding the return of the 24-year-old right-hander, whose big-league resume basically consists of one season, though it was a good one (20 starts, 11-6 record with an ERA of 3.65).
Yet despite Stroman’s limited experience in the bigs, there seems to be a growing sentiment with the Jays faithful that Stroman’s return is the last piece of the puzzle to put the Jays over the top.
