It's a reunion nobody in the American League playoff picture wanted to see. The Seattle Mariners are bringing back superstar slugger Eugenio Suárez in a midnight deal on Thursday, the final day of the MLB trade deadline. In exchange, the Arizona Diamondbacks are getting first baseman Tyler Locklear (Mariners' No. 9 prospect by MLB Pipeline) and right-handed pitchers Hunter Cranton (No. 16) and Juan Burgos (No. 17).
Suárez played with the Mariners from 2022-2023, hitting 53 home runs in those two seasons before being traded to the Diamondbacks following the '23 season.
