New Blue Jays security takes toll on fans

TORONTO - Does 11-month-old Charlotte Anderson look like a terrorist to you?

How about 13-month-old Mckinleigh Blanchard?

You could never be quite sure, it seemed, when it came to Rogers Centre security at the Toronto Blue Jays 2015 season opener Monday night.

They were just two of the thousands of fans, thanks to new airport-style security measures, who had to wait out in the rain.

It was a first baseball game for Charlotte and Mckinleigh and at their young age, while they won’t remember, their parents sure will.

It was disgraceful.

“I heard it was going to be busy but I had no idea it would be like this,” said Charlotte’s dad, Jordan Anderson, who came in for the game from Saskatoon.
