MLB Rumor Central: Nothing imminent for Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles want to make a move ahead of the non-waiver trade deadline and nearly nabbed Melvin Upton Jr. on Tuesday before he was traded to the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays.

Orioles general manager Dan Duquette brings the names of potential acquisitions to manager Buck Showalter for his opinion. Showalter likes what the teams are offering but doesn't like what teams are asking for in return. It's because of the price that Showalter told reporters on Wednesday there is nothing imminent on the trade front.

The Orioles are in the market for starting pitching and another outfield bat as the AL East leader begins the stretch run.
