Houston Astros complete four-game sweep of Blue Jays

HOUSTON  - There were a few snickers before Thursday’s game when Colby Rasmus told reporters the Houston Astros were looking to “sweep” the Toronto Blue Jays.

Then the former Jays centre fielder hit a go-ahead homer off Mark Buehrle in the sixth inning on the way to a 4-2 Astros win before 25,307 fans.

Can this putrid Blue Jays season, one in which they were supposed to contend in the wide-open American League East, get worse than this?

Other than second baseman Devon Travis (shoulder), no one was injured on this trip. So there's that.

The Jays dropped two of three in Baltimore last week.
