Granderson exits after 1st inning vs. Rays

ST. PETERSBURG -- Blue Jays left fielder Curtis Granderson left Friday night's game against the Rays after the first inning. There was no immediate reason given for his departure. Granderson was replaced by Dalton Pompey, who was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.

Granderson hit a leadoff double and is now batting .288 on the season. It was a sinking line drive that bounced high, and Rays left fielder Denard Span leaped to corral it. Meanwhile, Granderson took a hard turn around first base and legged out a double.
